Today, I am ecstatic to participate in the STEEMIT HEALTH community's contest hosted by @steemdoctor1. The theme of the contest is "Health Care System and Reform in my country." As a citizen of this nation, I am fully aware of the issues plaguing our healthcare system. The lack of accessibility and affordability are among the biggest challenges faced by people in need of medical attention. The government needs to implement a comprehensive healthcare reform program that ensures every citizen has access to quality medical care regardless of their socio-economic status.

It's time to take action and make sure everyone has access to the care they need. I hope my contribution to this contest will bring attention to this critical issue and inspire action towards a better healthcare system for our country.

Write about the Public Health Services in your country?

As a country, Pakistan has a complex healthcare system with a mix of public and private services. The public health services in Pakistan are largely funded by the government and cater to a large population of the country. The government has established a vast network of public health facilities, including rural health centers, basic health units, and hospitals. These facilities offer a range of primary healthcare services, including immunizations, prenatal and postnatal care, and treatment for common illnesses.

However, despite the availability of public health services, the quality of care remains a concern. The healthcare system in Pakistan faces numerous challenges, including a shortage of qualified healthcare professionals, inadequate funding, and inadequate facilities. The government has been trying to address these issues by investing in healthcare infrastructure and training programs for healthcare workers. Nevertheless, much still needs to be done to improve the quality of public health services in Pakistan and ensure that all citizens have access to quality healthcare. The government is working towards strengthening the public health system and expanding its reach to the most remote and underprivileged communities in the country.

Is there any helpline issued by the government for the public, in the situations of emergency?

In Pakistan, the government has taken a proactive approach to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens, especially in the wake of emergencies related to the health sector. The Ministry of Health has set up a dedicated helpline, 110, which is accessible round the clock for the public in case of any medical emergencies. The helpline is equipped with a team of trained medical professionals who are available to provide prompt and efficient medical advice, as well as coordinate with the nearest medical facilities for immediate medical attention.

The helpline has proved to be a lifesaving resource for many individuals in need of emergency medical care, especially during times of crisis. The services provided through the helpline have been instrumental in reducing the burden on hospitals, as well as ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate medical attention they need in a timely manner. The government is also constantly working to improve and expand the services offered through the helpline, to make it more accessible and effective for the people of Pakistan.

Do you think these public health services could be improved? How?

Public health services in Pakistan have faced numerous challenges that have impeded the provision of quality healthcare services to the citizens. However, with the right effort and creativity, there is room for improvement in this sector. Firstly, the government could invest in modernizing healthcare facilities and equipment to provide better treatment options to patients. This could be done by establishing specialized hospitals and upgrading existing ones to ensure that they have the latest technology and resources.

Moreover, the government could also focus on strengthening the primary healthcare system, which is the foundation of a robust health system. This could be done by establishing more health clinics in remote and underserved areas, hiring more healthcare professionals, and providing training to existing healthcare workers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Additionally, the government could also launch awareness campaigns to educate the public on various health issues and the importance of preventive healthcare. By implementing these measures, the public health services in Pakistan could significantly improve and offer high-quality healthcare services to the citizens.

Which public Health Care Survice will you innitate if you were given a chance?

If given the opportunity to initiate a public health care service in Pakistan, I would focus on building a comprehensive and accessible primary healthcare system. This would involve the establishment of community health clinics in under-served areas and the provision of basic health services such as immunization, maternal and child care, and the management of common illnesses. I would also focus on training and empowering local health workers, such as community health workers and midwives, to provide these services and to serve as a bridge between the communities and the healthcare system.

In addition to primary care, I would also work towards strengthening the secondary and tertiary care systems. This would involve improving the quality and availability of specialized medical services and technologies, as well as enhancing the skills of healthcare providers. I would also work towards improving the health system's response to public health emergencies and disasters, such as pandemics and natural disasters, by establishing a robust surveillance and response mechanism. These efforts would ensure that everyone, regardless of their location or socio-economic status, has access to quality health care services

Thank you very much
