SECS 8 Week 6: "How Do I Want To Grow Old"
Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope that you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. Today I have got a chance to participate in an amazing challenge is the Steemit Health Community. The challenge is about "How do I want to grow old". So let's start.
The negative physiological changes in the body is called aging or growing old. It is a natural process. We can't stop this process but we can reduce it's speed. Through we can extend our span of life.
I want to age healthy and energetic. This is because the old life is not easy for everyone. So I wish that when I grow old I will physically and mentally active. In old age I will not want to be dependent on my children and grandchildren also. I'm also want to live for a long time so that I can explore the world and do good deeds more and more.
As a matter of fact when we grow old become limited and dependent on medication, our that things create problems for our children and grandchildren. As I saw some people who were blaming by their children because of their illness. So that is not a good thing. I'm afraid about that because when these things my grandchildren will do with me then how can I bear that? So that is why I want to age healthy and energetic.
I read about some people who don't care about their health in their young age. And then when they grow old their lives become difficult. This is because they don't think about their future. They do everything what they want but they Don't think about their health. Some become smokers and drug addicts.
Keeping all these things in my mind I'm very careful about my coming life. I want to live healthy and long.
The first thing which is very important for a healthy life is proper diet. Soo in this regard I'm taking a proper diet. I'm taking all the nutrients which are required for our body. I'm about 19 yeas and I never smoked still. Because smoking is not good for health.
I'm also going for a walk daily in the morning. As the morning walk is good for health. It adds many positive affects in the body.
I'm also taking a active part in the sports. Sports keep us healthy and mentally active. I'm a cricket lover and I play cricket everyday in the evening.
No I'm not afraid of growing old. Because it a natural process. We can not keep us away from death. Quran says: كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ (Every soul will taste death). As In Quran Allah Almighty said about death. All the living things will die one day.
Life is all about changing. As we grow old we enter in the new phase of life. And this is a very important phase of life for everyone. In the old age we face new challenges and everything change for us. Everyone respect us and want to learn from us.
In my old age when I will see my children and grandchildren are getting success in their lives that thing will give me more happiness.
Yes I have that experience with my grandfather. He is about 90 and looks very healthy and energetic. He is physically fit. I felt very amazed when I saw him. Because he is about 90 and he never use glasses to see. His eyesight is still stable. That is amazing. He can drive a bike. He rarely falls ill. He is very kind to his children. Whenever I meet him he gave me some Golden advises to live a happy life.
At that age he is financially strong and independent to his children. At that age he is still earning a valuable profit from his business. So my grandfather is a example for me to follow.
