Just a few sunsets
I happen to have front windows that face South-West/West, depending on time of the year, sunsets are dead centre in front of me. So, I just can't avoid sunsets - they kinda are in-my-face all the time.
Remember, my 'magic' window? Yup, I have a magic window - no, not stuff that brings rabbits outta hats, but I get the magic of pretty interesting sunsets! And I am most grateful for this!!
So, while I hadn't posted for awhile, I haven't stopped shooting sunsets that call out to me. They are just there, teasing me - I can't just not look at them... I can't just not shoot them, can I...
And so, today, you (my lovely victims, muahahahahhaa...) get a sneak look at some of these that I have been collecting over the last few months...
Let's start with a subdued dull evening, where the sun sits like a round egg yolk (that's what the Chinese call it) on the horizon. I caught it as it beat a path down to the trees, so you can imagine I have a few dozens more of similar shots, with the sun in various positions! (Don't ask how many!)
Zoom out... - that's what the entire sky looked like from my window... My wonderful favourite drama clouds, ever-present, of course!
Another day, another sunset... this one was of the sun playing hide-and-seek with the rain clouds that threatened to wipe out golden hour that evening.
One thing I failed to mention here - I may have the same view, but different days, I get different scenes... Heck! Sometimes, different minute, different scenes altogether! So, don't complain about the view and I'll give you showtime that Mother Nature throws out, if she's in the mood.
And when the mood takes her, even the light gets dramatic, not just the clouds! I see a dragon-like creature there... in a pose with claws ready to strike!
Moody... dark... brooding...
Don't take your eyes off it! Looks like a cyclone or typhoon is about to land
My favourite bare branch tree poses against patterns like sand on the beach at low tide, shaped by lapping waves... Imagination runs away with me here..
Saving one of the more dramatic ones for (almost) last today... Same bare branch tree (did I say, my fav! 😄) with golden streaks across the sky...
Same day, a zoom-out shot taken some minutes before. It was more golden, then the red came in, in the zoom-in shot.

Sunday used to be golden hour photography day - not sure how it came about but just happened to be a habit. Habits are hard to forget or get out of... hence this post today - in honour of golden hour 🌞 Sunday.
Thanks you
