Slackline, Extreme Sports Full of Benefits
So, how do you do this sport?
Concentration, patience and focus, these three things are needed to walk on an elastic webing rope.
This nylon or polyester rope is tightened between two points. Then a player climbs the rope by maintaining balance. Yaapp, this is slackline.
Walking on a rope has been around since ancient Greece. In Yogyakarta, this sport has been known since 2012, and continues to grow. Now there is a YK slackline community that accommodates this sports hobbyist.
In mid-2012, a Caucasian came to Indonesia, and he happened to be a slackliner there, an American Caucasian. It continues to teach them.
There are no special requirements to join this community. Seeing them play this slackline, makes me amazed, also curious. How do you actually walk on a rope that's only 1 or 2 inches wide?
Special equipment is needed to play this sport, including webing, and several other safety devices. In addition to keeping the body in shape, this sport is able to stimulate the hormone adrenaline. Peace of mind and focus, can launch our right and left brain functions.
Not only that, slackline is a tool in physiotherapy and yoga.
Although sometimes there is a risk of falling, but this can be minimized if the stages in this sport are met.
