Contest - "Object of the Week" #69

This weeks object is very interesting , it's the balls of yarn.
We come across these balls of yarn especially during the winter,when people keep themselves occupied by knitting in front of fire and conversing.

Balls of yarn remind me of my childhood since i used to see women knitting around me and at my house when i was younger. I remember when the snow had fallen and it was a sunny day people would come out in the sun rather than staying in and using phones, that was a different time. I would usually see women with their their yarns and knitting needles making sweaters, caps and enjoying the sun.

Nowadays, the majority of people where i live choose factory made goods rather than hand knit goods, maybe because of time or maybe with the changed times people have forgotten or didn't take an interest.

Isn't it amazing how beautiful it can look when these colourful yarn balls are placed next to each other.😍😍
We obviously frequently see yarns in stores but didn't visit the market when i saw the contest. i had to participate in this contest. Luckily i am at my mother's house. She likes to knit. She's not a perfectionist but she keeps practicing. I askes her if i could click some pictures of her work and if she had any yarn balls left.

She made these pair of socks , sweater and a cap for her nephew. I like them because they are simples in design and also warm. It will keep him warm in the winters.

This ball was left from the sweater and cap she completed which i have attached in the pictures above.

Fortunately she had yarn balls left from some items she had been knitting. She's planning to get more yarn for making more stuff. I encourage her and she inspires me too.I clicked these pictures on my android phone and edited a little on snapseed. I hope you like these.
