Congratulations to all of you. Today I thought to write for this contest. Last week I received Steam gifts from this Color palette contest. It makes me very happy. So I take this opportunity to thank @olesia. The colour code of this week is white. So I am going to present a article about white flowers.

White Moon Petunia( Petunia axillaris)

Petunia is a flowering plant known as white moon petunia. Its botanical name is "Petunia axillaris". This is an annual plant and belongs to the "Solanaceae" family. It is used for garden decoration. A flower that propagates by budding. I took this picture when I visited a children's park. Isn't it beautiful?

White Periwinkle ( Vinca minor 'Alba')

This is a flower with five white petals. Its botanical name is "vinca minor 'Alba'". White periwinkle is a flower belonging to the "Apocynaceae" family. It has small glossy oval dark green leaves. Flowers occur throughout the year. Also used as garden decoration and ground cover. These are propagated by seeds.

Vathu Sudda (Tabernaemontana divaricata)

A white flower known in Sri Lanka by the name Vatusudda. Its botanical name is "Tabernaemontana divaricata". It is a five-petalled flower and the center of the flower is yellow. A genus of flowers belonging to the " Apocynaceae" family. These flowers have "pinwheel" shape. Widely used for religious purposes in Sri Lanka. A flower that can be found in almost every home in Sri Lanka.

Idda (Wrightia antidysenterica)

Known as Idda flower in Sri Lanka, this flower is known botanically as "Wrightia antidysenterica". It is a white flower with five petals. Wrightia antidysenterica is another type of flower belonging to the "Apocynaceae" family. These are also widely used for religious purposes.

White Pumpkin Flower (Lagenaria siceraria standi)

White pumpkin is a healthy vegetable and in Sri Lanka it is called Diyalabu. In the above image you can see a white pumpkin flower. Belongs to the "Cucurbitaceae" family.

Spider Lily, Beach Spider Lily (Hymenocallis littoralis)

A white flower belonging to the "Amaryllidaceae" family. Hymenocallis propagates by bulbs. The white petals are oblong in shape. The stems of these flowers are about 20cm long. These are nicknamed spider lilies.

Katarolu (Clitoria ternatea)

This type of white flower is called Katarolu in Sri Lanka. Its botanical name is "Clitoria ternatea". A flower belonging to the "Fabaceae" family. These have oval leaves. Propagated by seeds. Elongated spikes occur.

White Zinnia-(Zinnia)

This is a picture of White Zinnia plant of my garden. Zinnia is a type of flower belonging to the "Asteraceae" family.

Unknown White Flowers

For this contest, I took photos of white flowers. But I don't know the names of some flowers. I will post those photos below. How many flowers are there in this world that we do not know.

I learned a lot about flowers because of this contest. It is a precious opportunity for me. No matter how many flowers we see, we only enjoy beauty. At least we don't know the names of those flowers.
