Contest | Color palette | VIOLET FLOWERS!
Hello friends,
I hope you all are well. This is my entry for this week's colourpalette contest organized by @olesia. I couldn't participate in last week's colourpalette contest because I didn't have pictures of blue flowers. This week's color is violet. There are several combinations related to the color Violet. So today I will share with you the pictures of some types of flowers related to that violet range.
Blue water lily
Scientific name :- Nymphaea nouchali
This is the national flower of Sri Lanka. Numuhum blue lily flower is light blue in color and the blue lily flower seen in these pictures is violet in color. This is a type of lily flower with elongated petals. I took pictures of these flowers during my visit to Asapu last month. There was this pond with blue lilies near the steps leading to the pagoda.
Spider flowers and bougainvillea

These pictures show some pictures of violet spider flowers and bougainvillea flowers. I took these pictures from our backyard. Generally, these two types of flowers are two types of flowers that can be easily seen in any garden. The spider flower is blooming in a pinch and the flower is small with thin petals.
Heen bovitia flower
Scientific name :- Osbeckia octandra
This Heen Bovitia plant is a plant native to Sri Lanka. This plant is widely used as a medicine in Ayurveda. It is for Diabetes mellitus, Hepatitis, Jaundice, and Hyperlipidaemia. This Heen Bovitia plant was planted by our uncle. It is because of its medicinal properties.

Diya kudalu flowers
Scientific name :- Balsamina angustifolia Blume
This is a species of flower known by the people of our country as Diya Koodalu . This type of flower is small and has few petals. They are bred by the branches. The plant is a small plant that does not grow very tall.

There are lots of different colors of the bougonvilla plants as far as I know, there are almost 60 kinds of colors, you shared pretty flowers my friend.
