Hello friends,
I hope you all are well. This is my entry to this week's colourpalette contest organized by @olesia. I was eagerly waiting for this contest. So this week's theme is pink colour flowers. Below are some pictures and some details of three types of pink colour flowers related to this theme.
Pink rain lily flowers
Scientific name :- Zephyranthes rosea
These are the pink rain lilies in our garden. We have planted these around the coconut tree in the yard. There are yellow stamens in the center of the flower. Rain lilies are usually a small flower species. Blooming occurs as a bush.
The leaves are thin and elongated green in color. These flowers are also known as rose fairy lily, cuban zephyrlily, and rose zephyr lily. This flower is a species of rain lily native to Colombia and Peru. Rain lilies are bloom only after heavy rains.
Golden-rayed lily
Scientific name :- Lilium auratum
This is also a type of lily, Golden-rayed lily. These are available in several colors and shown here is the pink golden-rayed lily. I have previously shared with you some pictures of white flowers here under the theme of white flowers.
I took the pictures of these lilies when I went to the Asapu for Vesak poya-day. There the chaitya was decorated with white and pink lilies.
Roses
Scientific name :- Rosa
Rose is a kind of flower with a very pleasant fragrance that everyone likes. Rose is one of the flowers that many people like to grow in every garden. We also have several rose plants in our garden. But the pictures of roses shown here were given to me by a friend of mine.
A very popular flower as an ornamental plant, the rose comes in several varieties. Also, many people use roses for decoration on festive occasions as well as for giving gifts on special days.

This post of yours is very eye pleasing. I think flowers in pink is commonly found everywhere in Sri Lanka. This is an interesting contest.my favorite of all is the golden rayed lily. Okay it has very unique look and has an eye catching look. Your collection of pink flowers are wonderful. I can’t believe how nature has incredible ways of captivating our minds and provide joy to our lives by its beauty….
