Contest || One Street of My City

Hello everyone @Ukraine on steem, it is exciting to write about this particular street in my city. I am excited because I have seen the development of this street from its unpleasant state to where it is now.

I live in the southern part of Nigeria, a Place called Uyo. Uyo is the capital of Akwa Ibom state, a city in Nigeria. Uyo is bounded by other cities in Akwa Ibom state.

It is a beautiful city with lovely roads and streets. But we had a problem with our street some years back. Though the street was planned to be developed some years back but it was still in a very bad state.

We couldn't access the street when it rains. This particular street is known as the Ring road 3, though the name of the street has been changed presently.

The street was later visited by the government and lots of work done on it, in 8 months, the road was done and everything changed.

People couldn't access this street because of the flood around the area, but today everyone is using this particular street. It is a major street that links others in uyo. So being a major street, we get to see big trucks, tricycles, buses, cars and other commercial vehicles everyday.

The street is big and beautiful, I love walking down this street. On a sunny day, the beauty and ambience is second to none. Giving out a beam of light carried by the rays of sun. Couldn't believe that a place so gloomy would become this beautiful.

After the completion of the street, it was renamed to Clement Isong Avenue, a well known man in Nigeria, he died long ago but was immortalised by naming the street after him.
Commissioning of this street was witnessed by a lot of people, it was such a happy day.

The street is not only known for being busy but also to businesses. A lot of businesses like fuel stations, restaurants, trading and even selling of little commodities are encouraged on the street. As you can see in the picture above, the street is home to fruits selling. All types of fruits could be seen on the streets being sold and at affordable prices. I love getting fruits here too.

Another exciting view of this street is at night.
It looks great with the lighting and we enjoy coming out to view the street at night.

I am happy that I live along this street, and it is one of the best in my city.
