Книжковий зробачок, огляд 43: Макові війна - Little bookworm, review 43: Opium wars

Доброго ранку, шановна спільното!

Хоч як мені набридло скаржитися, але якихось якісних змін у своєму стані я взагалі не бачу, тож доведеться подовжувати. Зараз суперважкої навіть цей допис писати, і я весь час промахуюсь по потрібних літерах. Тож напевно буде дуже багато одруківок, а мені не вистачить сил навіть перечитати допис, щоб щось виправити.

Отже, якщо я вже жаліюся - давайте поскаржуся на найгіршу книгу за останні півроку. Я не розумію, чому вона така популярна, не розумію, що такого люди у ній знайшли, що про неї говорить кожен перший блогери буктоку. Так, вирішила ще раз поговорити по книгу Ребекки Кван "Макова війна".

Трохи нагадаю сюжет.

Молода дівчина, о росла у прийомній сімʼї мав скоро бути віддана заміж за старого заміжнього чоловіка, і їй це зовсім не хочеться. Тож вона наполегливо вчиться щоб скласти іспит до військової академії, що може дати їй квіток у те майбутнє, якого б їй хотілося.

Звісно вона складає іспит і їде навчатися далі. Перша книга здебільшого описує саме її навчання, а далі йде опис безпосередньо макової війни, у якій вона приймає активну участь.

Взагалі-то у цій серії три книги, і це вперше в житті, коли я не змогла дочитати серію. Ледве-ледве запхала в себе перші дві книги (довелося прописувати ногами), а третю вже не стала, вирішали себе пожаліти.

Отже, що я хотіла б сказати про серію. Вона подобається буквально кожному першому, і я навіть близько не можу зрозуміти, чому це так. Хоча намагалася. Зрештою у мене склалося враження, що ми читали різні книжки. Мені воно нудне - аж плакати хочеться, світ не пропрацьований, герої картонні. Друге моє враження витікає з першого, мені спало на думку, що може люди не бачили якісно фентезі? Інакше як все це пояснити? Просто не знаю.

Певно в мене були досить високі очікування від цих книг, але враження мені зіпсувало точно не це. Незалежно від очікувань я завжди отримую таке враження, як потрібно, тобто воно не псує мені картинку. Отже, книга для мене виявилася якоюсь катастрофою і апогеєм поганого смаку.

Although I'm tired of complaining, I don't see any qualitative changes in my condition at all, so I'll have to extend it. Now even this post is super hard to write, and I miss the right letters all the time. So there will probably be a lot of typos, and I won't even have the energy to re-read the post to correct anything.

So, if I'm already complaining - let's complain about the worst book in the last six months. I don't understand why it is so popular, I don't understand what people found in it, what every first buktoku blogger says about it. Yes, I decided to talk about Rebecca Kwan's book "Poppy War" once again.

Let me recall the plot a little.

A young girl who grew up in a foster family was soon to be married to an old married man, and she does not want it at all. So she studies hard to pass the military academy exam, which could give her a shot at the future she wants.

Of course, she passes the exam and goes to study further. The first book mostly describes her training, and then there is a description of the Poppy War itself, in which she takes an active part.

In general, there are three books in this series, and this is the first time in my life that I could not finish the series. I barely stuffed the first two books into myself (I had to write with my feet), and I didn't read the third, so I decided to feel sorry for myself.

So, what I would like to say about the series. Literally every first person likes her, and I can't even come close to understanding why that is. Although she tried. In the end, I got the impression that we read different books. It's boring to me - I want to cry, the world is not worked out, the characters are cardboard. My second impression stems from the first, it occurred to me that maybe people haven't seen high-quality fantasy? How else to explain all this? I just don't know.

I probably had quite high expectations from these books, but this was definitely not what spoiled my impression. Regardless of expectations, I always get the impression I need, that is, it does not spoil the picture for me. So, the book turned out to be a kind of disaster and the height of bad taste for me.
