Winter mood in Nigeria

Winter mood in Nigeria has always been unique unlike the other regions of the world that are covered with snow. Nigeria experiences it's own winter in a unique form, the cold and dry breeze flowing through the atmosphere makes it special in its own way. I have never seen snow before and I don't even know what it feels like, but in my lifetime I know I'll have that experience.

There's a part of Nigeria that is elevated which means more coldness and they tend to have a very cold moment during some of these periods.

	Winter

Getting up to feel the cold and harsh breeze, you wouldn't dare come out without a sweater on, it is very beneficial to many businesses as they dry up their stock with the rays from the sun. I won't take much time for your washed clothes to get dry due to the dry breeze and sunny weather. Back in our school days students come with their lip gloss, or they apply it straight from home, those were the measures because your lips will run dry.

Dehydration is a major problem, and it occurs mostly during this period, you have to stay hydrated by taking enough water.

Looking at what dehydration has caused, early this year we had a football training session, it was really sunny but we had to play, the dry breeze and the sun made us dehydrated and we were in need of water, at that moment the shops were not close to where we were playing, due to high demand people volunteered to get water, that got 3 bags of water which is about 21 in each bag, we were about 15-17 players. After the training the bags of water were already empty.

	Fried rice and chicken

Christmas is not complete without a pot full of fried rice and chicken, this is one of the delicacy best served during this period. I got filled up with rice because I received enough from my friends and neighbors alongside a very chill drunk to step it down. It is very common in Nigeria.

• Going out to places to celebrate the mood

Families are back together, many friends you missed long time ago, they're all back to celebrate the season with family and friends, it is never to leave bored and hungry. Malls are filled, eateries have no tables left, it's Christmas.

You can never be left out during the winter season in Nigeria, as it comes with lot of fun and games. You will just capture the family moment filled with love and unity as they embrace each other in harmony. The weather conditions during the winter is always favourable during this period and it is the best for a picnic, you play outdoor games with full confidence that it won't be a disturbed by rain of any sort of ice if there was to be any.

You have your full 24hrs to play with, it is not tempered by the weather conditions.
