Contest: Object Of The Week #66 - Buttons

in Ukraine on Steemlast year (edited)

Greetings everyone in the Ukraine on Steem Community. I am quite happy that I have this opportunity to join in this very interesting contest, the Object Of The Week No. 66, hosted by @strecoza. Read up about this contest and the rules and regulations here. Hopefully, you will become interested and join in the fun.

The Object for the week is:

BUTTON

I was very excited about the object for this week when I first read @strecoza's contest post. I know my wife, who is very creative and artistic, has quite a collection of buttons which she stores for future use, either for repairing our clothes that somehow turn out with missing buttons or for her handicraft and artistic hobbies. So I asked her if I can see her button collection and make a post about them. She said yes and brought them out to show to me. They were in small plastic containers placed in one rectangular basket. Here they are:

The last photo is what intrigued me the most because they were like jewelries and looked anything but buttons. So I took out the contents and segregated them according to design. And then I took photos of them which I will share with you below.

After separating and sorting out the buttons, these were the ones left which I held in my hand.

According to my wife, these buttons are mostly from Japanese clothes which she bought from flea and bargain markets. She would exchange the fancy buttons with regular ones and keep the fancy ones for projects she embarks on from time to time. One of these projects will be my entry to this week's Heading HandMade #11/2023, another contest hosted by @strecoza. See you there.

And that's all. I hope you like it. Good luck to all the participants. Keep safe and may peace be with you now and forever.
