The poets pen 🖊️

Hello friends, today I was just feeling down and I decided to out my pen to paper and this is what I came up with. It is mot that perfect but it is natural and from my heart. Most times when I feel down I listen to music or write.

I sat at the sidelines of the river
Ooh I wonder
How beautiful my eyes went wide open
And my mouth agape
The cool breeze swept my hair forward
The waters were dancing to and fro
The clouds had a cold look
The fragrance of nature
Filled my belly with excitement
I smiled widely
What a creation I exclaimed
Little children playing around
Couples holding hands
Everyone had beauty in their eyes
I thought so
Not until I turned again to see a young girl
Her eyes were teary with an unexcapable pain she sobbed
Her sadness filled every space and holes of the atmosphere
She had held her tears back for a long time that she broke down while crying
I walked towards her and it seemed she was far away
Every step I made to get to her
Only made it hard to reach to her
I couldn't understand why it was so strange I followed her until I could reach her
But I found myself at the beginning of it all
Why this little girl cried to be heard
Why she cried to be seen
Her past had eaten her up
How this little girl couldn't embrace whom she is
This little girl couldn't look at her parents in their eyes
This little girl wanted to feel love
This little girl wanted to make her parents smile at her and Pat her on her head
With a satisfying nod
Hot tears rolled down my cheeks
Cause this little girl reminded me of ME.
