INTRODUCTION

Hi, Do u know how Afang soup is prepared?, well for those who know how, kudos. For those who wants to learn, you are in the right place, I will be showing you the step by step procedure on how to prepare a delicious Afang soup.

Ingredients Required
  • Water leaf.
  • Afang.
  • Stock (meats, periwinkle, cowskin etc)
  • Palm oil.
  • Crayfish.
  • Water.
STEPS INVOLVED

Step 1:

After acquiring all your ingredients from the market, you come back home and pound your cut Afang, or you grind it in the market if it will stress you. Then we wash and cut the water leaf as well. Then we focus on the beefs, we wash our periwinkle, cowskin, meat and stockfish, season it very well and heat it up to boil well.

When the meat is boiling very well, and you are sure it's tasty, you go in with enough water, let it cover the meat entirely, that's the amount of water you will be using to cook the soup. This method always work, if as time goes on your soup is still thick you can always add more water.

Better Safe, Than Sorry.

After your water starts to heat up small, go in with your waterweaf, and then add your palm oil. This is so that the oil will mix everything perfectly well together. When the water leaf is then boiling, you go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients for the soup.

After everything is well added, we lastly go in with our Afang leave, at this point we must have tasted our food and confirmed that everything is okay, when we are satisfied, we go in with the Afang leave, cook it for 5 minutes max, and then bring it down.

Food is ready

Your food is done, and ready to serve. You can enjoy this delicacy with either Eba(moulded garri) or Fufu.
