This is Paris and as many know, it is not that big as other european capitals. The diameter between the highway that circle the city is about 8Km which makes easy to visit in few days and all attractions are spread out and not concentrated in a city center.

It is located in the exact city center and it was built during the XII century, but in the beginning, it was the fortress of the King that has been moved in Versailles in 1722 by the King Luis XV.

The glass pyramid is the main entrance of the museum and it's much younger than the Louvre Palace, indeed it was opened to the public in 1989.

On 15 April 2019, a huge fire burnt the church during 15 hours that completely destroyed the fléche and the wooden roof.
My eyes refilled of tears in front of this tragedy happened during one of my walking tours.

Sacre-Coeur Basilica

One of the most famous Basilica in France: "The Sacred heart"
It is not as old as it looks, indeed, it was opened in 1914 after 41 years of construction.

The basilica is located on the hill "Montmartre".
One of the best time to visit it, is during the sunset because you can appreciate one of the best view of the city.

The place was inaugurated 1889 and today it still offers musical dance entertainments and the majority of the decors inside the attraction keep the style of "Fin de siècle"

The boulevard is full of luxury shops, restaurants and theatres.

The iron tower is the symbol of Paris and of the whole France.
With its height of 324 meters and 10 thousands tons of weight, is the most-visited paid monument in the world.

The construction was made for the universal exposition on 1889 by the Engineer Gustave Eiffel and it last just 2 years.
In the beginning many people thought that the monument impacted too much the Parisian urban landscape, but finally the government allowed the works.
The tower kept the price of world's tallest structure for 40 years until the inauguration of the Chrysler Building in New York City was made.

kerg67.jpg
It's located in Champs de Mars and it is place of many lightworks events for the New Year's eve and the french national day on 14th July.
Paris is famous for being "La ville Lumière", indeed, many sightseeings are covered of lights and the same Eiffel Tower starts to sparkle lights for 5 minutes every one hour, after the sunset.

I hope I delighted you with this post an I hope to meet you as guests in this amazing city.

Sincerely,
