first steem post....klaus inspired painting

As a creative person in the field of art, I've always wanted platforms where i can share my portfolio, and steemit as always been on my to do list for a very long time but finally, we are here finally, i made it here.
and so for my first post ill love to show you all a piece inspired by the iconic Klaus animation which is this
although the reference does look better than the artwork
,mine was a 2 hour stylized painting study i worked o to see if i could still bend m hands to other styles.
without further ado here's the process

first
off we start with a simple, rough sketch , so we can just get an idea of what we want it to look like, hot tip, "your first idea is not always your best idea", there are always ways to go about anything you wanna do,

and then we clean up the sketches, for a clearer idea on what we want, and when you are satisfied with what you have\

you add in your flats, another tip your flats doesn't necessarily mean it gonna be your final color, i used this colors cause they are basically wood colors, and they can be tweaked with a simple edit layer to suit the environment

i add in a little wooden texture with my dry brush, just to give it that rough texture

then i add lighting,

added the characters and their colors, and gave them lighting corresponding with the scene.
