An Afternoon by the River | 10 % for beautycreativity
Hello friends,
An afternoon by the river is a quiet gift. The sun hangs low, painting the water gold. A gentle breeze lifts the scent of pine and wet earth. I spread a blanket on the soft grass and sit, watching the river flow.
Small fish ripple the surface, and a dragonfly darts over the ripples. Children laugh as they splash in shallow spots, their voices mixing with the rustle of leaves.
The river does not rush. It moves at its own calm pace, reminding me to breathe slowly. I open a book, but the pages turn themselves as my eyes drift to the water.
A fisherman casts his line, hoping for a bite, while a dog runs along the bank, tongue out and tail wagging.
Time seems to stretch. Clouds drift across the sky, casting shadows that dance on the water. The sound of water flowing over stones is a soft song that soothes the mind. As the sun begins to dip, the air cools and fireflies start to glow.
I pack my things, feeling calm and grateful for this simple, perfect afternoon by the river. I promise myself to return soon, to hear the river’s gentle whisper and cherish nature’s quiet peace.
