A significant milestone in a person's life is marriage. Marriage is all about traditions, rituals, and good times. One of the most joyful events to celebrate for a lifetime with friends, family, and other relatives is a couple's marriage. I attended my aunt's wedding ceremony just now. Everyone was delighted and headed there. We shared our abilities. We brought candies along.
We then took a seat to dine. Beef and chicken were the food items. The beef's flavor! The bridegroom then arrived. The young ones had a great time when the bridegroom came. At the celebration, they all got wet. After that, they gave the groom candy. The bridegroom will not be allowed inside. They shut the gate. The groom cannot enter without paying 3000 taka. The bridegroom will only contribute up to 1000 taka. It was much delayed. Later, it was lowered to 2,000 taka with the elders' assistance.
The groom is the one eating now. First, we gave snuff. Dates, candies, biscuits, and chanachur were considered snuff goods. Then came eggs, polo, steak, and fish fries. Lastly, desserts and curd were served. That flavor! Everyone engages in hand games.
The actual labor of marriage began after that. It's then time to let go. Kazi Saheb and his attendants attended the bride's party. They approached the groom once the bride gave her acceptance. The current imam led everyone in prayer after receiving the groom. The marriage was thus consummated.
