What is creativity?

Thomas Edison

Thomas Alva Edison was a prolific inventor, who was responsible for many important developments in electrical technology. He is often called the “First Scientific Genius” and is often called the “Father of Modern America”. He was famous for his record-breaking experiments in inventing the first electrical device capable of recording and sound recording. Edison was also the first to market a practical phonograph, the first to market a practical motion picture camera, and the first to market a practical electric lamp.

Edison was known for his unique approach to problem-solving and for his ability to quickly develop a working prototype of a new invention. He also had a remarkable ability to identify what were the critical problems that must be solved to bring a new invention to market. Despite being an American, Thomas Edison was arguably most famous in Europe where he was often referred to as “Le Machine” - the “Machine” of his penchant for inventing one technological marvel after another.

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of general and special relativity, making him one of the most influential scientists of all time. Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921, which inspired him to give a famous speech in which he discussed the importance of radical ideas, such as not being afraid of being considered crazy when it is true. Einstein’s genius was apparent early in his life, and he studied physics and mathematics at an early age.
