Hello, dear members of the community. I hope you all are well and doing good. Today I am sharing some macro clicks of a red bug called boxelder bug. I click these photos some days ago using the Samsung A32. It was my first experience with the macro camera of the Samsung A32. Here is also some additional information about this boxelder bug.

Boxelder bugs consume almost entirely the maturing seeds of boxelder, maple, and ash trees. The boxelder bug is sometimes confused with insects of the genus Jadera. These bugs devour maple, boxelder, and ash tree seeds, although they may also puncture other sections of the plant while they eat. Boxelder bugs congregate in huge groups at various times of the year and sun themselves on warm surfaces near the tree that acts as their host (e.g. on rocks, shrubs, trees, and man-made structures).

This is particularly problematic in the fall when they are looking for a warm place to spend the winter. Many of them can be seen collecting on houses, looking for a way in. These bugs feed on boxelder plants, lay eggs, and grow. The majority of the time, they are on female trees, which produce seeds. Boxelder bugs enjoy eating seeds, but they also devour foliage. They are frequently spotted on maple trees, which provide them with food in the form of seeds. Read more here
