Setora Nitens Caterpillar

in Beauty of Creativity3 years ago (edited)

This is the spiny nettle caterpillar I found in a local forest. This is the first time I saw it. Having a scientific name as Setora nitens, it is a larva of the cup moth that belongs to the family Limacodidae. This caterpillar is one of the main pests for oil palm. But it is possible that he also ate the leaves of other plants because I found them in wild plants that grew in the bush.
