Tiny Long-Legged Fly on Green Leaf
Today I'm presenting a few images of Long-Legged Fly found in our area belongs to Diptera. It can be easily find out on the upper surface of leaves. Its appearance attracted me so badly but anytime I attempted to take a shot, it runs away and started running here and there. A long-legged fly has a distinctive shape and patterns, one of the ways to see these characteristics is through the macro lens which of course, needs an effort to do so. Unlike the other day, where I never successfully caught it because it moved quite a lot that often troubled me to take a shot with a smartphone. As we all know, the housefly is commonly found in the garbage and decomposing organic waste. So I am not going to talk about its behavior but I prefer to see this housefly from another side. The good thing is, I found this fly was perching from one leaf to another, which made me spend some time chasing it. When it got right to my lens, I don't mind taking a couple of shots even it is generally unattracted by the naked eyes but thru macro, it will be different.
