Scarlet skimmer Dragonfly
This dragonfly is one of the largest butterfly in its class, stay under more than 1000 species spread across the countries. In scientific name is called Libellulidae. It is also called the skimmers or percher that usually seen in the wood, perching on the grass or the rope. Due to this dragonfly was impossible to reach with smartphone, I manage to take its photos with DSLR from long distance range as well as the way to avoid from its notice. Actually, we used to see this typical dragonfly droning over ditch or swamp water and I always love to catch them by camera. This is going to be another interesting dragonfly which is known as scarlet skimmer or ruddy marsh skimmer and considered native to east and southeast Asia. This dragonfly was a bit quiet hanging in the twig which allowed me to have some distance shots. Like most members of the genus, this dragonfly has whole red body. The most interesting part of this dragonfly is that the colors on the hind and front wings.
