Purple Pinwheel Mushrooms | 10% to shy-fox
As the rainy season comes, the air is heavy with humidity and the odor of mold and mud, and the plants are as lush and green as they'll get. Shortly, this is a good time to look for new mushrooms. I was thrilled to see these mushrooms were being in good shape and color which urged me to take a few shots with my DSLR.
It appears, I had to make a few step inside the wood to find these tiny purple mushrooms that grow on a little twig. It's great to see some of them live well after the rain and as I thought I would find some other fascinating mushrooms around the humid spot and indeed, but these mushrooms already won my heart.
Purple Pinwheel mushrooms are also known to grow in the characteristic fairy ring pattern. This typical mushroom has tiny orange, bell-shaped, pleated cap and skinny blackish stalk that likely form a group of break-dancers. Like other nature pieces, even the smallest fungi with striking beautiful shape and color can bring out our childlike sense of awe.
