Mushroom Hunt Session: Marasmius sullivantii | 10% to shy-fox
Mushrooms are one of the most amazing nature pieces that are easy to find. They have different in size, color and shape that can be found around neighborhood, including the forest floor, under leaf litter, on banks of a slope, on decayed logs, inside the hollows of standing trees, and along the trunks of trees. Even though a large number of mushroom species are available throughout the year, the best time to find them is on a hot day after plenty of rain.
As we know, the mushroom is classified into two common categories, they are edible or shiitake and inedible mushroom. A lot of edible mushrooms are often found in the wild and so inedible ones. Unlike the cultivated mushroom, this Marasmius sullivantii lives in the wild, and remain untouchable before we came to pick them up for the photos.
Yep! I found this mushroom in every death wood and nobody dare to consume. As we know, the mushrooms also cultivated for medicinal properties to cure chronic bronchitis, coronary heart disease and cancer. Then, I came with a conclusion that may take your concern is, be careful when you decide to pick mushroom in the wild, it is better get to know the characteristic of mushroom.
