Flea Beetles | 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox
This time I did not go to the far place to search for insects, I just made up my way to lawn nearby. Although I often found the same objects, they always look different to me, especially the place they hang out and the way they expose themselves in the bush. So my today's insect is flea beetles that, the day I found, were perching on pumpkin leaves, and flying here and there likely avoided me.
They are considered common insects that live around vegetation plants and easy to find them hanging out around the bush but their appearance often tempted me to take shots. Flea Beetles also known is used as an agent of biological pest control against the noxious weed known as ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
The adult tansy ragwort flea beetle is light golden brown in color and between 2 and 4 millimeters long. They have enlarged femurs which enable it to jump out of danger if disturbed.
