Female Crimson on the Spot | 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox
Good Day everyone! It's great to be back with another type of dragonfly. It's a female one that was seen hovering on the wild plant near the stream. How could I let go of this beautiful dragonfly? It seemed to be fond of exposing itself to me. When I spotted it was calmly standing on this plant, as I used to do, was to equip myself with gear and I was quite ready to take a few shots.
A dragonfly is regarded as an insect that has main body segments and six legs to help them fly and to support its movement. Despite having six legs, the dragonflies do not use those to walk, but it is used to hold onto foliage during rest, and grasp prey. So, right before I left the spot this female crimson dropwing, seemed it followed the male one that recently came up which made me stay for another minute to take its pictures.
Trithemis aurora, the crimson marsh glider, is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae. It is a common and widely distributed species found throughout the year across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.source
