Distoleon annulatus-~Antlion || 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox
Hi everyone! Another fascinating dragonfly is here. Yeah, I recently found this winged insect standing still on the twig. Its appearance attracted my attention, and I managed to get some pictures with my smartphone. It finally come out with the name " Antlion," the member of the Myrmeleontidae family and often sighted in the bushes.
I guess I was lucky to have it on sight, it has very small insect with long horns on its head.. Seeing that, I managed to approach this this insect with apprehension and caution and finally it allowed me to get a few shots with my device. This is generally known as Antlions, Distoleon annulatus.
Antlions are regarded as an insect that has main body segments and six legs to help them fly and to support its movement. Despite having six legs, the antlions do not use those to walk, but it is used to hold onto foliage during rest, and grasp prey.
