Common Pierrot Butterfly (Castalius rosimon)
Common Pierrot (Castalius rosimon) is a butterfly distributes throughout tropical countries with occurrence in different habitats in both nature reserves and urbanised areas. I noticed this one in nature once I entered the local forest yesterday. As it is regarded host plant butterfly, Castalius rosimon, being a common mistletoe on many trees in these areas. As I love to deal with any type of butterfly, I never let them away before I took the shots, right after seeing them calm around the bushes. These are actually common butterflies that used to be seen darting around, but to catch them, we need some patients while following them to landing spot.It flies in short bursts and flutters close to the ground. They usually bask with half-open wings and prefer shade to the sun. It was busy with flying during most parts of the day and settle on the undersides of leaves and twigs when the night come. As I used DSLR, it might allow me to shoot from a distance range and this could make it feel safe.
