Common Palmfly Butterfly🦋 | 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox
Hello again all Beauty Lovers! These butterflies were swinging around the stream, touching the leaf and taking off soon they noticed me coming. I did not expect that I would find some butterflies around this spot and seeing them flying here and there, I decided to hunt them down while waiting for them to stop. It took me some time to set a trick to catch these actively flying butterflies for the poses like these. When I saw it, it was calm a bit, I rushed to get on clicking and never stop until I obtained the worth sharing pictures. This is another type of butterfly that used to spend time near the palm area which makes it known as Palmfly (Elymnias hypermnesia), widely distributed throughout South Asia.
There are various subspecies of Palmfly with many morphological variations. As you can see, its color is brown with some frosted appearance and there is a triangular white area near the apex of the forewing. This species is commonly found in primary and secondary forest, oil palm ( Elaeis guineensis ) plantations, and parks, at elevations between sea level. Palmfly butterfly belongs to the family Nymphalidae, in the genus Elymnias
Elymnias hypermnestra, the common palmfly, is a species of satyrine butterfly found in South and Southeast Asia.source
