Common Mormon Caterpillar | 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox

Perhaps in the next few days (if this caterpillar is able to survive), I will see a swallowtail swinging around. Right, I accidentally found this caterpillar was hanging out around my garden and I thought, it was dead but when I was taking photos, it started to make a bit move. Caterpillar is very well known for its slow motion, but it will be hard to catch when it turns into a butterfly. It is a common Mormon caterpillar that usually found on the leaves, and it appears like a snakehead which makes this caterpillar is more unique than other common caterpillars. To be honest, I rarely found this typical caterpillar and when I spotted it there, I managed to take some pictures. Being in a calm state, I could freely shoot it from any angle I like. Mormon caterpillar belongs to the family of Papilionidae, in the genus Papilio.

The common name is an allusion to the polygamy formerly practiced by members of the Mormon sect according to Harish Gaonkar, of the Natural History Museum in London.source.
