A Large Orange Sulphur Butterfly | 10% Beneficiary to shy-fox
When I was sipping coffee, I noticed a butterfly was passing by and stopping in a small garden that was a few meters from my reach. I wish I had DSLR to shoot it, but all I got was a smartphone that required me to come closer if I wanted to have its pictures but as I assume, it was so vulnerable to strangers and my presence would make it uncomfortable. My guess was right, when I tried to focus on its head, it took off and swung for a few seconds before it came back to the spot. I was still there with a smartphone camera trying to catch it, after spending some time I was finally able to shoot it from a close range. Due to this butterfly was big, I could not use a macro device as it was not able to cover its whole body and if I did, I probably would not get anything from this butterfly. This butterfly is known as large orange sulfur, exposing the underside of its wings, which are typically held upright when it lands. Orange sulfurs like open habitats from sea level to the mountains, such as agricultural fields, pastures, meadows, and lawns. It comes from the family of Pieridae, in the genus Phoebis.
