A Fisherman on the Dugout in Monochromes
Descartes once said: “Cogito, ergo sum”. It has a simple meaning, “I fish; therefore, I am”. This excerpt brings a serious meaning to the fishermen, I mean, they fish everyday to show who they are. Telling the world that "we are in the vast sea, finding fish, so know us as the ones who help you continue this life." So what does fish mean? It is kind of common question for the fishermen, especially they who spend innumerable time in the sea trying to net the fishes. In this element, water, they perceive it as normal shadow, an apparition that sudden shows up in a fleeting instant. It wheezed and spluttered out of the shore, the morning cloud spluttered over the sea. A fisherman with his dugout looking for some lucks from this calm sea. In the early morning, the fisherman rushed to get his boat and off to the flock of the fish. Here, in this calm sea, the water pulsated with life and seemed to be friendly with the local people. I saw this man from distance when I was walking by the lake side. I liked spending time taking pictures of this man which would be then added to my human portrait collection.
