THE DIARY GAME SEASON 3|| JANUARY 2ND 2021|| BIRTH OF MY BABY BOY

Me stained with the blood of partutrition of my new born baby boy 8:35pm 2-1-2021

Good day my dear Steemians, I welcome you to read my diary for January 2nd 2021. Please be warned, there are blood stained pictures attached to my diary for this date but be comforted, this is not blood from gore or illness, it's source is from the joyful birth of my new born baby boy who was born in the car while driving my wife to the maternity clinic.

Today started like every other normal day except it was flavoured with the lingering festivities of the Happy Holidays. I woke up 7am, I did my devotional, brushed my teeth and helped my 39weeks pregnant wife who was still in bed with the tasking house chores. I left only the business of our breakfast for her. She woke up a little later and fixed us our breakfast, it was concocted from leftovers from the New year's day supper.

We weren't going to work so I figured out I had to get some fuel for my power generating set so we could spend quality time at home watching TV if the main electricity fails. I bought fuel and we spent most of the day watching TV and eventually napping off into a brief rest. I woke up 5:30pm, took my bath and went out for a brief visit to my elder brother, Edward k Onokpasa. I spent an hour plus. By 7pm the whole day took a sudden dramatic twist.

Antenatal report had projected my wife to put to birth on the 14th of January 2021 but here I was receiving a panicked call from her that her water just got burst and I was more than twenty kilometers from her. I had to put an abrupt end to my visit with my brother and we both drove like crazy on top speed to meet her on time and salvage a seemingly unpleasant situation.
I got home and found her on her knees with my two years old baby girl crying out of confusion of the frightening experience. My brother helped my wife into the car but then she insisted that I sit behind with her and now I'm thinking it was Providence guiding us all the way. While my brother drove she literally gave birth on the back seat on my hands. We arrived the hospital in time for the professionals to take over. I had the baby in my hands while my elder brother ran after me with the placenta and the attached umbilical cord.

They took my wife into the labour room and the doctors and midwife assessed the situation and put both baby and mother on bed after removing the placenta.

We consulted with the healthcare providers and provided all the necessaries before biding my wife and baby good night.

I got home 10:35pm and just managed to enter the events into my diary before sleeping off at 11:20pm.
