Contest: my first steps in steemit| is awesome by @goodybest

My name is Goodnews from Nigeria, trust everyone is great as for me I'm so delighted to join in the "my first steps in steemit" contest, organized by the steemit nursery team @saracampero, and @inspiracion I'm grateful to them because this contest will help we newcomers to learn from follow steemians experiences and gets to know their challenges in this great plantform.

I joined this amazing platform precisely 13April, 2021 I'm a toddler in this community.

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT STEEMIT?

Before now I heard about steemit last year August 2020 when a friend told me that there exist a social media platform called steemit, that it rewarded its users with a crypto currency called STEEM for creating original and quality content. I couldn't believed her, it sounded like scam to me, I meant the traditional social media benefitted more from its users so how come this one reverses the mode, So I wasn't interested then.
But I joined steemit when my best friend @eliany took her time to explained how steemit works and all the benefits I will gain for joining the platform, wow this time it sounds legit and interesting to me, so I decided to give a try after all "there's no harm in trying" so @eliany signed me up and I immediately started steeming on!

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT STEEMIT?

Steemit is an amazing and legit platform, of which any investor, or creative and persistent individual can build a stable future financial security with. It is a platform in which someone can learn new things on daily basis, this is where you can meet different people from different backgrounds and culture, this platform is excellent for interaction, for participating in contests and for being part of the great dynamics. i enjoyed being here, Steemit is awesome.

HOW DID YOU DO WITH YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE NEWCOMERS COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ONE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

It was simple for me to introduce myself in my achievement one task since I was guided by my mentor @ngoenyi, she sent the link to @cryptokannon post on how to write achievement tasks. I followed through and i successfully carried it out and got verified and curated.
I've done my Achievement task up to 4, and I'm looking forward to Achievement 5.

WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU LEARNED THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW BEFORE COMING TO STEEMIT?

I learn everyday in this platform, steemit has brought out the best in me. It has unleashed the hidden potentials in me, steemit has taught me how to be creative and brainstorming, how to think critically, logically and innovatively.
I really improve in my writing skills since I joined this platform and have learnt to do a lot of things myself.
I learned how to cook different delicacies and how to garnish my meals to look more attractive through this platform.
Steemit has given me the opportunity to meet people from different races of background to learn about their culture. It has taught me how to interact respectfully with people. It feels great to be here.

WHAT HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED YET OR DO NOT UNDERSTAND, AND WHAT ARE YOUR DOUBT ABOUT IT.

I've not learned about crypto currencies in the crypto academic yet and I don't understand how to register in crypto academy and I don't even know their requirements, how their classes Take place, and I'm doubting if I can fully understand
and trade in cryptos.

NAME AT LEAST TWO NICE PEOPLE YOU'VE MET AND TELL US WHAT THEY DID TO WIN YOU OVER.

I've met many amazing persons in this platform but two among these people Win me Over @ngoenyi, and @steemchiller

@ngoenyi is my mentor, I knew her through my best friend @eliany, I admire her selfless attitude, and she's hardworking. She's not upto a year old in the platform but had such a tremendous achievement. She scores 70% reputation, she's currently our country representative, African representative and uyo city coordinator she's a moderator in great communities like @steemwomenclub, @steemalive, and @steemfoods. She's a wife and mother too, but she strikes a balance, she doesn't neglect her family because of work, she ready to help anyone.
I'm one of the benefactor of her generosity, she delegated some SP for me when I joined the platform newly then I couldn't post because of low SP. That her singular act of kindness won me over and I want to be like her.

@steemchiller is a guru in this platform with a reputation of 73% this is phenomenal right? He's the trusted witness who created one of the most creative and useful tool in this platform https://steemworld.org/. Did you know that such a highly reputable user finds it worthy to follow a novice in the platform like me? I was shocked the day he followed me but at the same time I was so happy, he used to Vote on nearly all my contents since he found out about me. I want to cease this opportunity to say thank you sir. This humble act of his melt my heart so I want to be like him in the future, I want to be supportive to the new users like him.

WHAT USER DO YOU ADMIRE OR IS AN EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW FOR YOU?

@ahyar92 is a moderator in @steemhealthcare. It's not been long since I got to know him but he's a nice person, he use to encourage and help me on how to write quality/original contents. I want to say thank you sir, I will surely emulate your example.

Also I so much admire my best friend @eliany she's persistent and patience, and she used to create original/quality contents. We used to discuss a lot about how we can add value to this great platform and how to improves ourselves.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN SIX MONTHS ON STEEMIT, WHAT IS YOUR GOAL, AND HOW MANY STEEM POWER DO YOU EXPECT TO BUILD DURING THAT SIX MONTHS PERIOD?

I want to become newcomers greeter, a steem-promoter and a moderator in different communities. I want to be known by follow steemians as an original|quality content creator.
I want to grow my STEEM POWER to at least 1500SP within this six months period I've decided to power up at least 200 STEEMs monthly, I am a very determined and hardworking person, so I will surely reach my goal because I know the essence and important of STEEM POWER in steemit business.

WHAT WILL YOU TELL A FRIEND TO JOIN STEEMIT?

Strategy question indeed, well I used to tell my friends to stop wasting their writing talents on the traditional social media and join steemit to start adding value to their time, because "time is money". I used to tell them that they can really improves themselves with steemit and I've been able to convince about 7 of my friends to join this wonderful platform.

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion I will say my experience/ first steps in steemit is amazing, I really improves myself through steemit, I learn new things daily on this platform, and I've benefitted More from steemit. I'm not perfect, I used to make mistakes in this platform, but I don't dwell on it, rather I learned from my mistakes and move on, I will never give up on myself nor on this great platform. I've determined to be consistent and persevere, to give my very best to steemit. As a hero in this platform @dorbatim used to say; "I hoped to see everyone at the top"! Thanks for reading through.
