Hello to my fellow steemians. I would like to share what I did yesterday. There is this field programme my school organizes for students every year for students to go to various villages to observe, analyze and identify some key problems of the village and find possible ways to solve this problems identified. And This is basically a one month duration project. For every village there are a group of ten students who would be assigned to. So in my group, we were eight boys and two girls and we were assigned to a village called Kongo Yakin in the Upper East of Ghana.
On the day of departure into the villages, we were given some orientation on some of the things we should do and shouldn't do whiles in the village.

Morning

So at around 11:30 in the morning, our buses departed from the school campus and headed to the village we were posted to.

it was an exciting moment for us all and the journey was fun. The journey was a 2 hours journey so at about 1:30 pm we arrived at Kongo Yakin.

Afternoon

So we arrived in the village and removed all our luggage and waited to be directed to our place of residence.
The assemblyman was the one to show us were we will be lodging. But unfortunately for us the assemblyman was not around. We called him and he told us he was going for a funeral at the next village and that he wasn't aware will be coming on that day. So we asked him what we should do and he directed us to the chief's palace to wait for him till he comes and take us to where we will be staying. We went to the chief's palace and introduce ourselves to him. Fortunately for us, he was aware of our coming to the community. So we told him the assemblyman was not around so he directed us to his place to stay while he comes. He was happy to see us. We sat with him in the palace and had some conversations. He began telling us his life experiences and his journey so far as a chief and what he plan doing for the village. It was actually a nice experience conversing with him.

We waited and waited but he was not coming to pick us from the chief's palace till it was around 6:30 pm.

Evening

So around 6:30pm he came around but it was late and every place was dark so he suggested that we stay at the chief's palace for the night so that on the next day he takes us to the place. Even though we were not happy with what he suggested, we had to take it cool and wait patiently for the next day. So around 7:30pm we started taking our bath and thinking about what to eat since most us didn't eat the whole day. After we finished bathing, we cooked some spaghetti and ate for the night and had some talks till some of us fell asleep.
