Today I made bow ties for my sister and I thought of sharing the process with fellow needle work lovers like me here.

I like doing things myself because i think doing things by myself is safer than people doing them for me. I have a dream and that's to become a fully independent woman and I guess this should be the dream of every woman out there in the world. It pains me most times when I see ladies like me refusing to engage their lives with things that is worth while with the mentality that they are done suffering and all they are now waiting for is a man that will come take them and bear their burden as well. Simple question for them 'if the man bears your burden for you, what will you do for the man?

I am perhaps the last in the family but definitely not the last in reasoning cause I always want to stay ahead of them and that's why my life is full of activities cause I want to change the tides of things around me. I began having so much passion for doing things myself when I realized that being an employee comes with so much headache. I learn making bow knot(tie) when I was still in high school because I never wanted to finish as every other regular students.

For the sake of those who would want to practice along with me, I will be listing the items I used in making the tie.

Items

• Collar gum
• Scissor
• Thrade and needle
• Teal green bridal satin material.
• Measurement tape
• Iron

The Making Process

Firstly I measured the collar gum and the teal green material and cut them in to the sizes i needed them to be,

Secondly I proceeded to Ironing the collar gum on top of the teal green material,

I moved on to folding the materials and ironing them as well

Then i proceed to making the bow,

then you will use a tread to hold the middle of the bow so as to avoid it from loosing

you begin this step by making a 2 inch pieces, then you get to fold and iron them,you will proceed to folding it to the size of the middle of your bow,then you will use a scissor to cut the material, you sow them together with elastic in the middle or a bra hand.
