I'll be writing on the impact of plagiarism over our potentials,and I believe this message will help our young members so that they will not be victims.
The Earth is a place filled with uncertainties and changes. Man by nature has the ability to adapt to whatever condition life subject them to irrespective of the price they will pay just to ensure that they are not left behind. For the sake of survival, many persons have involve themselves in many activities; some are not inventing lies in place of truth, changing what ought to be original into what is fake.
Every man that was created has a purpose and potentials to fulfill it, but imitating someone else fame, success, personality has limited our potentials and reduce our growth.
Steemit Community Is a platform where both young and old come to exhibit their passion and potentials in learning, teaching, writing; and also expand their knowledge in various aspects of life. For this reason, Steemit Community believes that every member who participate in this platform has something to give for the growth of the community. But, some persons growth in the platform is stunted due a problems which we will be seeing at the course of this article.
One of the problem that limit the identity and potential of most steemians is Plagiarism; the action and the consequences.
Steemit Community has made this platform the best place to build your confidence and become independent in your work by giving zero tolerance to plagiarism.
WHAT IS POTENTIAL
Potential is an added advantage a person has that enables him/her to do exceptionally well in a given task.
WHAT IS PLIGIARISM
Plagiarism is the act of using another person's idea as your own without making reference of the person that owns the work.
Plagiarism has being a challenge in Steemit Community in the sense that both old and new members are victims. Honestly, am glad that this platform is rigid in their decision against such act. Steemit Community is here to make us grow in every activity we perform while in it, and for this reason they expect all their members to exhibit potentials that will add to the growth of the platform. This platform believes in originality; it discourages any act of plagiarism, however it is done. Thus, Steemit Community believes in advancement and growth of their members,for this reason they frown at plagiarism because it limit the individual's potentials and also reduce his capacity to exhibit his talents and passion in the platform.
Most people have lost their potentials while imitating or plagiarizing someone else work. Many have hidden their talents and pursue another man's vision because of the level of success they aspire to have from such person, and this have reduce their self discovery and the ability to believe in themselves.
Plagiarism has increased cyber crimes in our world today, such that some persons are into personating other people's work or ideas digitally inorder to be approved or commented in their pursuit in life.
The consequences if plagiarism has render most talented individuals unemployed or made them lose confidence about themselves. This days people are into inventing what that has already being invented without seeking for the opportunity to maximise their God-given potentials. Young persons today fail to acknowledge the importance of self discipline and self discovery; people prefer prospering by relying on what other persons has done.
It is the things that people see you do are the things that will announce you; but doing what has already be done cannot limit your potentials to fulfill your purpose. Due to too much people are doing the same thing, it is difficult to seperate the original ideas from the fake. This days no one want to work on their insight, talent, gift and potential to create a new idea in their business or profession. No one wants to be independent in producing new inventions and ideas. People have become comfortable in faking what was once original to get the attention and commendation of people.
CONSEQUENCES OF PLIGIARISM
Plagiarism is a disease that has kill the potentials of men who knew not how great they can become without it.
It has reduced the ability of men to depend on themselves to create job opportunities and inventions through their giftens and talents.
It has encourage laziness among people to present articles or documents that are authentic.
It has cause people to lose their self confidence in creating good posts which are original without compromising to plagiarism.
It has limit the ability of an individual to attain the peak of his purpose due to prioritizing on imitating someone else ideas or work.
CONCLUSION
This article has one aim and that is to encourage the members of Steemit Community, especially the new members that just join us to know how dangerous pligiarism can be, not just to this platform alone but also in other facet of life. It is expedient to know the importance of self discovery, new innovation and ideas, and also the satisfaction and benefits it gives. As well as avoid the repercussion or consequences involve in pligiarism.
