The diary game: my adventurous journey from Navrongo to Sandema-Wiaga Chiok.(07/04/2021) by @albertodecrutor
The names of these two towns may sound unfamaliar to your ears but they are nice villages located in the upper east region of Ghana.
Hello fellow Steemians, happy to knock on your doors once again, today we are taking a tour on the journey I made from Navrongo which is where my school is to Sandema- Wiaga Chiok which is about 28kilometers away for an outreach program. I woke up in the morning at around 6:00 and had my morning devotion and scripture reading from the book of Colossians 1:1-29, after that I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Knowing very well that the journey will start at around 3:00pm, I took my break fast and went back to continue my sleep small.
At long last time is up. I quickly took my bath and packed up some clothes since am going to be spending a couple of days there, all is set and done ready to take off from my hostel.
me ready to take off from my hostel
We converged as a church at a venue where we will board the bus. Upon arrival at the venue, some members where already there. I joined them and together we waited for the bus full with air condition to come pick us.

I exclaimed, oh my God!!! after seeing our suppose air conditioner bus pulling off at the venue. It is really going to be adventurous journey, I monologue. The car look so aged and very old and very weak, a typical commercial transport vehicle in this part of the country.

We took some instructions and announcements from our leaders and started hopping into the granpa old vehicle.lol.

We set off from the venue at exactly 4:00pm. We drove through Navrogo market, it was very busy because it was a market day. You will mostly see people trading and hawking on the street making movement so difficult, there were a lot of motor riders both males and females and tricycle riders too. That is one unique thing of the northern people of Ghana, is the main means for transport.

We left Navrongo township and headed straight toward our destination, I started feeling and hearing the vibration and noise emanating from the bottom of the vehicle. I thought the tyres were going to remove from the car. lol, I was really scared. In fact, it was really adventurous. Lucky for us the road was asphalt so the vehicle was showing its power of acceleration.
One peculiar thing in the north here when it comes to traveling is animals especially cattle crossing the road anytime, which always causes vehicles to slow down. I called them speed bumpers, lol.
The north is bless with vegetation.

good vegetation
Unexpectedly, when we got to a town called Chuchuliga our beautiful journey on an asphalt road has come to an end.Ho!!! everybody shouted in the car, grampa vehicle is now going to move on a rough dusty road it was very stressful. Indeed it was an adventurous journey.

We don't need to stop off for any thing since there was nothing to buy on the way, so we got to sandema township at about 5:30pm.

We then proceeded to our final destination, a small village called wiaga-Chiok.
