You cautiously step out into the 2nd floor corridor and see 2 zombies., at least one of them is looking at you. DAMN!

You quickly try to escape the zombie in front of you and dive into Apartment 13...
As you open the apartment door, a feint, regular beeping sound begins. Beep... beep... beep...
As you cautiously step inside, you find the source and as you get closer, it springs into full life. A deafening alarm squeals, designed to ward off unwanted intruders.
There's no hope of sneaking around now - any zombies on your floor will surely be heading in your direction!

@o1eh - Well this is most unfortunate.
In summary, as you exited the room, the alarm had attracted the attention of 2 zombies. You managed to beat them both but whilst you were fighting, another zombie attacked you. You won again... only to be attacked by another zombie. The alarm really did cause you some issues. Whilst testing the code, you died numerous times but the time that I ran it for real, you survived. Somehow.
Unfortunately, the comment wasn't just pruned due to size, if was completely removed. But you're now stood in the corridor so if you reply "{B}", my guess is that you'll try to open a locked door and the game will work.... just without the excitement and near death that Steemit deemed too long to share with you 😔
It's really dramatic. So many events! Darinka was worried that we had died, but we were lucky. Thanks for the quick tip.
Hopefully you will survive... but things will be difficult now... hopefully you will be a little more lucky from now...

Like a madman, you waste precious time and energy and try the door again, fervently jiggling the handle and pleading with the stubborn lock, as if your sheer determination could magically unlock it.
But it doesn't budge, and you're left standing there, feeling like a befuddled protagonist in a comedic play, trapped in a loop of absurdity.
You check the rest of the corridor and are relieved to see that it's all clear.
