It's time to get moving, you look out through the spy hole of your front door and see nothing dangerous.
That's good. You're getting hungry and need to make a move. Although it looks safe, it might be sensible to use some energy looking for a weapon.

You've decided to search the apartment for a suitable weapon.
You've got a good idea of what to look for - something hard, preferably sharp, something that you can swing or shoot.
The best that you can find is a Metal Baseball Bat. It's not perfect but it's the best thing available.
It's now time to head outside, reply {A} when you're ready to get moving.

You step outside knowing that nothing's directly outside your door and you're cautious to check the rest of the corridor.
You look to your left and are relieved to see nothing there.
You look to your right and are relieved to see that the corridor is completely clear.

{B} Head left and look in Apartment 19
{C} Head left and try to access the stairwell
{D} Look in Apartment 21 opposite your home
{E} Head right and look in Apartment 22
{F} Head right and look in Apartment 23

You calmly walk towards the end of the corridor, hopeful of heading downstairs and away from whatever terror remains on the 3rd floor.
When you reach the door to exit, you discover that it's blocked from the other side. Despite your belief that you crossed the corridor quietly, you've already learnt to be cautious...
You decide to check the corridor again and are relieved to see that it's all clear.

{B} Look in Apartment 23
{C} Try to access the stairwell next to you
{D} Look in Apartment 21 opposite your home
{E} Head back and look in Apartment 18
{F} Head back and look in Apartment 19
{G} Head back and try to access the opposite stairwell

You open the door to the stairwell and are confronted by a zombie. FUCK! You were caught off guard and have no option other than to fight!
Whether it was luck or your lightning quick speed, you were able to dodge the zombie's first lunge.
You get out your Metal Baseball Bat and prepare to do battle...
You strike first and land the perfect blow with your Metal Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 10.8.
It's the killer blow and the fight is over.
The experience gained will be of benefit to you and your Intelligence has increased.
You feel relief that you're unharmed and prepare to continue your journey.
You didn't notice whilst you were fighting, but the door closed behind you and you realise there's no way back, you're only option is to head downstairs.
