grapes of the charente. shot this when the sultan of cognac took me to a wine region ...
... in france to empty an old house he used live in. he felt sad he had to sell the house. knighted as a chevalier, for writing the only book on pineau, we visited a few destilleries, where i could taste some cognac for the first time. felt like getting a V.I.P. experience throughout in return for getting my hands dirty. we found some dusty bottles in his wine cellar too. as a person who rarely drinks(actually not) and feels like an alcoholic if it's more than a beer a month, the experience was epic. soecially when drinking after 17 months. i fished this shot out of one of my SD cards. it depicts wine grapes that are used to make pineau(not pinot). i was specially surprised, because i used to think the dude is full of shit. all his stories from the US navy almost sounded so fictional, they could have been out of marvel's avengers. i had to aknowledge that they were all true while emptying his house and finding all those medals that he also kind of partially concealed. listening to his stories, while having a bottle of merlot are pretty cool memories. guess he is a pretty modest person and surely not a showoff. maybe most hero's are? he also gave away one of his books for a bottle of pineau from 1984 to an old man, who came by with his son and we all sat down and had a glass of one if his most special reserve. lucky to have had such an experience. merci!
Fantastic Shot
