It seems that people love to follow trends, talk about them, and judge others by ...
... them. A friend of mine is convinced trends are overrated and a way for people to seek attention, show off, and hide their genuine identities.
I recently read somewhere: “It can be comfortable to believe what your culture believes (group identity) or to do what upholds your self image (personal identity), even if it’s wrong. The biggest barrier to positive change at any level - individual, team, society - is identity conflict. Good habits can make rational sense, but if they conflict with your identity, you will fail to put them to action.”
It’s hard to watch how people blindly follow the popular opinion and forget to question and assess on the way. As a dear friend of mine @penticton shares nicely on her profile, ‘If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking.’
We have to remember that every individual brings something special to the equation of life like these rocks on the photo.
Now I need to go and do some thinking myself 🤔 excuse me.
Love your friends name, our closest town Is Kelowna located in the Okanagan not far from Penticton here in British Columbia Canada! Is she from there!? 🥰🤙
She’s not from Penticton and honestly I don’t know why she picked that name. However, her and I were in Kelowna and Penticton together a couple of years ago. Beautiful place 🤩
