Travel India with me: Gol Gumbaz

Gol Gumbaz is a huge tomb build by the Deccan King Mohammed Adil Shah.

The Gol Gumbaz is situated in Bijapur District in Karnataka State.

It was build in the year 1656 by the famous architect Yaqut of Dabul.

They say that it took them 30 years to build this huge architectural marvel. It is in the Deccani Architect style of Indo-Islamic style.

The walls are thick and the building is in a really good condition. I had visited Gol Gumbaz almost a decade ago for the first time.
