Well, nothing less than the death of Jeffrey Epstein happened, the person of interest to unveil one of the darkest secrets of our society, what could have become the case of the century. Instead it became a meme because absolutely nobody bought the official narrative: Epstein didn't kill himself.
He was pronounced dead at 6:39 a.m., a detail that clearly would be meaningful, considering hundreds of magic numbers pointing from and to that weekend through time. And indeed, it couldn't be any more significant:
