Yeah, looks the same at a first glance. Somehow looks like an artichoke on the outside, looks like a beet by color, and for me it taste like a watermelon. It's a between mushy and crunchy, and the seeds "bursts" randomly. I prefer it added to fruit salad/concocted into drinks bc it isn't that sweet like most fruits.
