"SEC - S9W2: "The Music that Moves You"

Music is an art of sound that express emotions, and ideas through the element of Melody and rhythm or harmony. Listening to music is my hubby. It makes me feel complete because I'm the kind of person that doesn't like going out all the time. So most often, I listen to music so that I won't think much and the melody of the sounds makes me happy. I don't only listen to music but I know how to sing as well. So music is part of me and I can't go a day without listening to it.

The music that makes me get up from my chair to sing are numerous but I will just mention one among others. The song is titled “Duduke” (meaning the beat of a heart or drum) the song was sang by one of the best female songwriters, artists, and a singer in my dear country Nigeria. She is called Simisola Bolatito.

The song was dedicated to all the women who are praying to have a child. And also to her unborn child. The song was so amazing the beat and the sound of the song are someone I can't resist any time I hear the sound of the music. The song has a lot of meaning so when singing it one will easily forget his sorrows.

The music I so much like is a song by the RCCG Praise and Worship. I learned a lot from the worship song, most of the worship makes me pray and connect with my creator during prayers. It also gives me this hopes that no matter what I'm passing through God is always there for me, his love for me is unconditional so most often than known I listen to my worship songs early in the morning and at night when I'm about to sleep.

Sometimes during my quiet time at work, I will also listen to the worship song just to uplift my spirit to do better and not to be discouraged.

At home, I listen to different types of music depending on how the mode is, but most often I listen to Simi's songs because most of her songs are very good and the sound of the songs are very unique and enjoyable. So when I'm working at home I will go to a music application and play the songs, then connect it to sound speaker.

Listening to music makes me do my work faster even when I'm writing I always love to play music because it serves as motivation to me, seriously a day with music makes me feel as if someone is missing.

For me, if I should write a song I will love to write a song and dedicate it to my lovely mother and the title of the song will be “My first love”. The reason why I will love to sing a lovely song with the above title is because Mother is one of the best God has ever given to us and all they need from their children is unconditional love.

The love my mother showed me is something I can't comprehend and for now, I don't know how to make her happier, I'm trusting God for a better job that will make take care of her and make her feel loved. So anytime I think of a song to write the only thing that comes to mind is my sweet mum.

In conclusion, Music is life and it goes far above just entrainment, I love listening to music because it speaks to my situation and inspires me when I may be weak. I believe one day I will also be a great songwriter who will write meaningful songs and lyrics that contains wisdom and revelations.
