I remember the time my mother do gist me of things that happen in the day. I was scared to hear those things, but later she revealed them.

I'm the only one my mother love most. We have been living in a print building for years, no clean water to drink, and no clean clothe to wear.
My friends do laugh me. Some said: I resemble Gorilla and the rest said: I'm a dwarf.

When I told my mother about it, she almost broke into tears. One morning, she package me in a basket since I was five years old, and took me to a nearby river and told the gods to take care of me, that she is off to work.

She did this because no one in my environment could be trusted. If they can call me names talkless of having a responsibility to put me under their watch.

I stayed under the enclosed basket for hours not knowing what was happening in the ghost of the space. Little did I know that the moment my mother left after handling me to the gods, some villagers that saw her came instantly and took me away to a different community.

They thought it was food that was inside the basket; and so they started singing and speaking an unfriendly language. At a point I got tired and decided to blow a whistle. None of them heard me. The gyration still continues.

They set fire as if they want to kill a live goat. I felt the flame behind my back and I began to cry. Normally, there's a culture practiced by this people which is: anything fetch from a river should be placed on fire first to destroy the god's ability.

Immediately, one of them noticed and said: this look like the voice of a child”, while some others who were hungry said No. I increase the voice of my cry again and the same person requested that the fire should be put off.

As soon as they put off the fire and untie the basket. They saw a young fresh boy like me inside. “Ewo Ooh!" Everybody shouted. One of the hungers knew me and even got angry, “Idara what are you doing there?”.

My mother rushed in as directed by the gods. Because she had gone to request of my presence from the gods and I wasn't found. She felt so bad that she would have lost her only child....

Stories like these can increase a child's pressure to sleep. god's are not child's protection home nomatter the encounters. I love your article, indeed you took time working on this contest excerpt.... I wish you @nessuccy5 best of luck
