I hope this finds you all in good health and spirits. Today, I would like to ask for assistance since our dear community here in Los Baños, Laguna, really needs help. Typhoon Carina caused so much destruction, leaving so many families in a condition that was beyond imagination due to sudden, serious flooding. Together we can!

So, here's the deal. We are launching the #CarinaPH Relief Operation, spearheaded by the Los Baños Social Communications and Media Ministry. Guess what? YOU can be a part of this amazing mission to bring hope and relief to our fellow Pamayanans affected by this disaster.

I know we all love our cozy wardrobes, delicious snacks, and fresh morning routines. But imagine that, in a flash of an eye, all those comforts were washed away. That's what's real for many families right now. They lost their homes, belongings, and peace of mind. Together, we can help them rebuild their lives.

What We Need

Clothes: We take all kinds of garments—shirts, trousers, frocks, jackets, you name it! Just any clean and wearable apparel you can spare would mean literally all the world to those who have lost everything. Think of that cute top you want to give away or those comfy joggers that don't fit you anymore; now is the perfect time to donate them.

Canned/Ready-to-eat Goods: Non-perishable food items are the lifeline at this point. What we are talking about here is canned goods, cup noodles, powdered milk—all that generally help people have a quick, nutritious meal. Can you imagine how comforting it would be if a person were provided with a bowl of warm noodles if he hadn't had a proper meal for days? If you have surplus food supplies in your pantry, please share them.

Personal hygiene items: Most of us know that hygiene is important, but it's equally important in disaster situations. We need soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads, shampoo – all those everyday essentials we tend to take for granted. Such personal care items can help in maintaining some semblance of normalcy and dignity for the affected.

How to Donate:

You can be able to drop off your donations at any of our collection points located around Los Baños. If you are not able to bring them personally, do not worry! We could arrange for pick-up within particular areas. Kindly reach out to us through our social media channels, and we'll do the coordination.

Why Your Help Matters:

Every single donation may make a difference. It's not just about the material things; it's about showing compassion and solidarity. Your contribution shall bring joy to the child who will wear clean clothes, give comfort to the parent who can feed their family, and hope to the elderly person who maintains their hygiene with dignity.
