Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well and in good health. As mentioned in my previous posts we had our final year project orientation at KIET University. Now it is time to start brainstorming and discussing our ideas with the teachers, jury, and the head of the fyp .

Starting the Day

The day began with my usual routine and headed towards KIET arriving a bit late as usual 😁. Since it was the semester break the university was mostly empty with only a few students around. All the group members were already there.
we gathered at the tuck shop and discussed how we should start and present our ideas. We talked about the tools, domain, language, and length of the project.

Meeting with Teachers and Analysis

We began our mission by meeting with the most senior faculty member and jury member of the FYP jury. As we shared our ideas one by one he pointed out a major problems some of our proposed projects were outside our domain and might cause issues in FYP 2 which could be a significant drawback for our degree.
moreover he noted that some projects had issues with length as they were not enough to justify the work of four members over a year. we had a disscussion of 1 hr with him where he brainstrom our ideas pick out problems and benefits what additional feature we can used in it .

then we moved towards another teacher had another meeting with him in which he like our ideas but about some of them he was not sure t and adviced to drop them out .

Visiting the Hardware Labs
Our teacher suggested exploring an IoT domain project, which integrating hardware with software . To gain some hands on knowledge we visited the hardware lab and met with the instructor. We had an in depth discussion about the possibilities and disadvantages of hardware projects.
We come to know that a major issue with hardware projects is their high cost without proper funding, this could be a burden on our project. Additionally there is a high risk of the project failing at the last moment due to component failures this visit provided valuable into hardware ntegrated projects and helped us understand the complexities involved.

Last Visit And Decision

We made our final visit to the last FYP jury member where we presented our ideas and discussed them in detail. He suggested an innovative concept combining our two ideas into a single project. Although the approach is challenging but he is confident that we can do it. Unfortunately I can not disclose the details of the idea right now as we are still working on it. However his guidance has provided us with a direction for a strong proposal though it will certainly require significant effort.

The meeting was necessary before come any conclusions on our own, and we are grateful for the faculty's assistance in brainstorming our ideas. That is all for today I will make sure to update you with all the details as we progress further.
